links for parents & teens

The Shore Student Ministry Facebook Page:  Join our facebook page for the latest information, links and student-leader interaction.  This is the best way to make sure you get informed of calendar changes and new opportunities.   You can even register for many of our events on Facebook now!

On Track Devotions:  OTD is a devotional guide which I highly recommend for any Junior or Senior High Student.  OTD provides a systematic reading schedule AND an effective Bible Study Format that encourages young people to be students of the Word!  You can order OTD on your own to be delivered directly to your home OR you can order with the group every 6 months (August and January) to get a slight discount.

Twin Lakes Camp:  TLC is the site for our annual winter camp and where many of our students go each summer to be challenged to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus Christ.  If there is one blog for a Christian to check out on a regular basis, it's this one.  The variety and depth alone are outstanding.  However, if you join "friends of the blog" for around $39 you get a TON of freebies that more than pay for the $39. Check it out now at

Safe Eyes Internet Filter:  Every parent and student is encouraged to use a good filter.  This tool will help you to avoid some of the temptations of the internet.  While no filter provides 100% safety, this is an option for individuals and families.  Some of our staff use this filter for home and the office.

Paul Tripp Ministries:  Great resources for parents on parenting and marriage.  “Age of Opportunity” is the book that best describes our heartbeat for students and families.

Pure Freedom Ministries:  Two great books and resources on purity are  “The Bride Wore White” (for girls) and “Who Moved the Goalposts” (for guys).  You can get these and more information at

Movieguide:  Check it out before you go out!  Get insights into the themes and content of movies before you lay down serious money on junk.  Go to Ted Baehr’s Movieguide at  You can even sign up for a newletter which includes reviews on all the new movies.
